The sooner the better, I recommend booking your newborn session after your 20 weeks scan. This makes sure availability around your due date is confirmed.

I aim to photograph newborns between 4-14 days old, although I will accept newborn bookings up to 8 weeks of age.

Not to worry, only around 5% of babies arrive on their due date. I am able to allow lots of wiggle room in my diary for early or late arrivals.

When you book your newborn photography session I place a note of your due date as a guide. Once baby is here and within the first couple of days I ask you to contact me to arrange a convenient date and time for your session.

I offer a petite session which is 1 hour and 30 minutes or a full newborn session which is 3 hours. Some of this time will be dedicated to soothing, feeding and posing your baby.

All my session are baby led and I go at their pace, to ensure baby is happy and settled at all time.

I provide all props, wraps, nappy covers, accessories and so on for your session. Please have available your usual baby supplies and plenty of feeds, not applicable if breast feeding.

If you have anything of value to you that you would like to be present in your photographs, I am happy to incorporate these just let know prior to the session.

Lots of newborn babies have marks, stractches or bumpy skin. This is completely normal to have any marks from birth or scratches from their tiny fingernails. I am a professional retoucher and all this can be taken care of in post production to reduce the look of these.

At the end of your session, I will go away and edit your gallery. This can take a maximum of 2 weeks for your images to get to you. The images will be provided to you on your own personal online gallery where you can select your favourite images and download straight from there.
